The Best Comedies: Groundhog Day (1993)

Rotten Tomatoes: 96%

IMDB: 8/10

My Rating: 5 Popcorns

You know you have something when the title of your movie becomes a basic term in the English language.

Phi Connors (Bill Murray) is a local TV weatherman who finds himself repeating the same day over and over. As the title suggests that day is Groundhog Day in Punxsutawney, PA. The day continues to repeat for Phil until he finally changes enough to deserve the love of his producer Rita (Andie McDowell). Neither Rita nor anyone else has any idea what’s going on since the day is only repeating for Phil.

Murray plays the part with just enough snark and just enough lovability to make it work. Chris Elliot is good as the cameraman who suffers the barbs and Andie MacDowell is Andie MacDowell

This is one of my favorite movies. It’s been viewed out of order because It’s Groundhog Day, Campers!

As far as I can tell, available everywhere. Including lots of TV channels. Might have something to do with the time of year.
